Does the person receiving have to create an account?
No. They open the link, confirm their phone number with a code sent to their phone, and discover their gift. Nothing to install, no password.
What if the link is forwarded to someone else?
The gift only opens with the phone number you entered, confirmed by a code sent to that phone. Without that number, the link is useless.
How does the money arrive?
By Mobile Money, on your loved one's number: MTN MoMo or Orange Money in Cameroon. You choose whether it unlocks step by step, or all at once at the end.
How do I pay?
Once your gift is ready, you pay by MTN MoMo or Orange Money. Nothing is sent before you confirm, and you can save a draft for later.
Can I give a Miimo without money?
Of course. Messages, steps and a lovely reveal are enough. Money is a plus, never an obligation.
Which countries is Miimo available in?
Cameroon first. Other African countries will follow.
Can I add photos?
Yes, up to 20 per gift (60 for a group Miimo). They're reduced before sending so they load quickly even on a mobile connection, and they stay private: only the person receiving the gift sees them, and only at that step. Videos will come later.
What kinds of steps can I create?
Texts, reveals, photos, but also a hidden hint, a question (open or multiple-choice) that has to be answered to continue, a countdown, a meeting place with a button to open the map, a link and a last word. Miimo checks the right answers: the person receiving never sees them.
Are there templates to save time?
Yes: 25 journeys ready to personalize, sorted by occasion (birthday, Christmas and holidays, love, thanks, other moments). You pick one, enter the first name and the amount if you like, and change every word before sending.
Can I see my gift before sending it?
Yes. The preview shows you the journey as the person receiving it will discover it, with its steps, questions and rewards. Nothing is sent and no money moves during the preview.
Can I schedule the sending?
Yes. You choose the day and the time: midnight for a birthday, 8 am on Christmas morning. The link goes out by itself at that moment.
Can we prepare a gift together?
Yes. You invite loved ones by their phone number: each one writes their own steps (up to 3, with their photos) from a private link. You can review each step before it enters the gift, hide what doesn't fit, and choose whether everyone sees the whole journey or only their own steps. The person receiving clearly sees who each step comes from. Money contributions from guests aren't available yet.
